OUR MISSION
Astronomy is often a difficult science to understand, as it has so much information that is hard for the human mind to grasp! Midnight Eclipse is here to educate 7th-12th graders all about Astronomy and what it has to offer through short, easy-to-understand blog posts that everyone is sure to understand! We upload blog posts on Mondays every two weeks.

When I was just 6 years old, I had already decided I wanted to pursue something amazing. Looking at pictures of colorful nebulae, stars, galaxies, comets, meteors, and more made me absolutely fascinated. I knew this was what I wanted to do, just by the cosmological connection I had with the sky. It was something that couldn't be explained in words.

This fascination grew tremendously over the years. My favorite color came to be purple due to the number of galaxy-themed pictures I would see on the NASA website. I set my sights on any books I came across, like "The Field Guide to the Night Sky" or even subscribing to the Space.com newsletter, only to have stacks of space magazines filling up my room.

When I got to high school, I knew this wasn't something I could keep to myself. I had to share it with the world- it was that amazing. I decided to form Astronomy for Minds of the Curious, which is our trademark now. It evolved into what is now known as 'Midnight Eclipse', where we post blog posts about a wide range of Astronomy topics! It's been such an adventure opening up our little Universe, and I hope you join us in our journey to the cosmos and beyond.

As co-founder of this platform, my goal is to provide an Astronomy education from high schoolers to high schoolers! I noticed in many schools, Astronomy is a very hard science to get involved in. We want to provide you the opportunity to learn as much as you can in a language that's easy to understand.

I hope you have a blast reading our blog posts. As always, keep gazing skywards!

When I was in 6th grade we watched an astronomy video which slowly zoomed out, eventually revealing the scale of the entire universe. And that was all it took; I fell in love with astronomy and the unknown. What intrigued me the most is how anyone can get interested in astronomy and there is just so much out there to explore! After watching the video I visited museums, read astronomy books, and even attended the USA Science and Technology Festival in Washington DC.
My interest in Astronomy manifested into a passion, one that I wanted to pursue as a career. But I realized that there weren’t many resources to aid people like me, who wanted to pursue Astronomy, especially if one lived far away from a city or didn’t go to a stem-driven school.
Thus, I made the decision to reach out to Ishita and Pavneet to ask about joining Midnight Eclipse. They were both very welcoming and just as passionate as I was about astronomy and educating everyone about this incredible subject.
My mission is to help inspire an interest in astronomy in kids of all ages and to show them how many amazing things are out there just waiting to be discovered! I think Midnight Eclipse is the perfect platform for me to do that and I hope you learn something new from our upcoming posts. So stay tuned and stay curious!
